Artem Chigvintsev and Nikki Garcia‘s fate hasn’t been sealed just yet. The couple’s perfect marriage was broken down in late August when the Dancing with the Stars pro was arrested on a felony domestic violence charge. Neither party has commented on the incident, but they keep showing fans signs that all is far from well.
In his first social media move since the arrest, the Russian dancer distanced himself from his estranged wife. Per Page Six, earlier in the day, Chigvintsev removed Garcia’s name from his Instagram bio. The page that formerly linked to the WWE star’s account was changed to “Father to Matteo 👦🏼, DWTS Pro Dancer, Emmy Nominated Choreographer, DWTS Mirror Ball Winner, SCD Mirror Ball Winner.” However, it seems the Strictly Come Dancing alum had a change of heart.
Hours later, he re-added his shoutout to the Total Bellas star in his bio. This time, however, her name was at the bottom of all his accolades. Chigvintsev’s confusing move comes after sources claimed Garcia is already on the look for divorce lawyers. An insider told TMZ that the former wrestler began making calls to law firms a day after her husband’s attack. The source further added that the dancer was booted from their Napa Valley home.
Nikki Garcia Isn’t Holding On To Artem Chigvintsev Marriage
While Chigvinstev seems sentimental about his marriage, the same cannot be said of Garcia. A week after the arrest, one-half of the Bella Twins stepped out for the first time without her wedding ring. The 40-year-old was in Las Vegas to host Netflix’s Joey Chestnut vs. Kobayashi: Unfinished Beef hotdog eating contest. Dressed in an all-red ensemble, Garcia admitted to the crowd that she was “so happy to be here.” They also cheered her on, telling her words of encouragement.
Recall that on August 29, Chigvintsev was booked into Napa County Jail for felony corporal injury to a spouse. A transcript from a 911 call revealed that the 42-year-old dancer called for medical assistance after panicking about the injuries inflicted. He, however, changed his mind, calling the paramedics off and revealing that Garcia threw shoes at him.
