Despite the lack of conclusive evidence, netizens have had a field day speculating on possible causes and expected results of the toxicology test. Reacting to a Tweet by TMZ confirming the completion of Lisa Marie Presley’s autopsy, users began pouring in their guesses, ranging from a possible drug overdose to the influence of her Hollywood fame.
However, speculations that the late crooner, who passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023, died as a result of the effects of the COVID-19 vaccine appeared more prevalent. One Twitter user wrote:
“That’s what happens when you take the vaccine.”
Meanwhile, others tried to shut down the COVID theory put forward by anti-vaxxers. Although mere speculations, the anti-vaxxers theory has been making the rounds on social media since the star’s passing. However, several have frowned upon these speculations referring to them as baseless while pointing out that the Presley family had a history of cardiac issues long before the pandemic.
Notably, Lisa’s famous dad, Elvis Presley, died of the condition back in the seventies, at the age of 42, as did her grandmother, Gladys Presley, who died at 46. The heiress eventually met the same fate on Thursday morning, hours after complaining of severe stomach ache. Following the heart attack, paramedics arrived at the scene and transferred her to a hospital, where she developed a second cardiac arrest and eventually died while on life support.
Lisa Marie Presley’s mom, Priscilla Presley, broke the news of her death at 54 shortly after, without details about the exact cause. Two days prior, both women appeared all-cheerful while attending The Golden Globes to witness Austin Butler snag the award for Best Actor in a Drama Motion Picture for playing the titular role in Elvis. During his acceptance speech, the actor lauded the two women, bringing them to tears with fond memories of Elvis Presley.
