Beyoncé‘s Halloween costume has gotten the BeyHive excited about Act III of her highly-anticipated trilogy. If you’re a fan of Bey, then you know the singer takes dressing up on Halloween very seriously. In the past, she’s gone as FloJo, The Proud Family, and Toni Braxton. On October 31, 2024, Queen Bey uploaded breathtaking pictures of this year’s costume to her Instagram. The singer went as Betty Davis—a performer from the ’60s and ’70s known for R&B, funk, soul, and rock music. The caption of her post simply read, “BETTY DAVIS IN MY BONES,” followed by an emoji of an electric guitar. The statement is also a reference to lyrics from ACT II of her project, Cowboy Carter. The lyrics come from the soft-rock track “BODYGUARD.”
Of course, after the 32-time Grammy winner uploaded her photos, many people talked. Beyoncé’s outfit, a striped leotard with white boots and an afro wig, makes people think she could be hinting at her next act, which is rumored to be rock-inspired. Throughout the slideshow of photos, she’s also seen posing on a motorcycle. So, could she be teasing that the final part of her record-breaking trilogy is among us? Several of her fans certainly think so.
Fans Think Beyoncé Is Hinting That Act III Is Rock-Themed
In the comments of her Instagram post, fans quickly pointed out that Beyoncé’s Halloween costume makes them think she’s dropping a hint about ACT III. After getting a good look at her outfit, one user said she was “never beating” the allegations that her next album will feature rock music. Another simply said that her posts have “confirmed” that a rock album is on the way. A third fan chimed in, saying her Halloween theme this year was “screaming” ACT III.
Several other fans hopped onto X/Twitter to praise the artist for her creativity with this year’s look. Someone said the star’s dark hair looked amazing, while another said she looked “beautiful.”
Could Beyoncé Be Hinting at Her Next Album?
Now, there’s been no official word from Beyoncé or her team about ACT III. However, true fans know the singer likes to drop hints leading up to her big drops. In 2016, before dropping her chart-topping album Lemonade, Beyoncé posted pictures of her smelling lemons online. Before she released RENAISSANCE in 2022, she gave interviews, letting her fans know that her next album was for those who were ready to feel good and let loose.
In 2024, several days before releasing “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM,” Bey attended the Grammys with a Western-inspired look. She wore a white cowboy hat with a skirt, nice kicks, and a leather jacket.
Since Beyoncé moves to the beat of her own drum, there’s no telling when fans will get a taste of ACT III. However, it doesn’t seem like it’ll be anytime soon. If she’s following the model she used for RENAISSANCE, the singer will head on tour in the summer of 2025 before releasing anything new. However, she doesn’t enjoy being figured out. So, if too many people start to catch on, there’s a chance she will change the rollout entirely.
