Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani were deemed an unlikely couple when they first began dating. The country music star and the pop princess seemed to be from very different walks of life. However, despite their critics, they made it to the finish line. The couple are now happily married. Now the singer is comparing his relationship with Stefani to that of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s buzzworthy romance, and he may have a point.
Recently Blake Shelton appeared on The Pat McAfee Show. The country crooner opened up about his thoughts on Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship. He even admitted that he thinks the couple are a lot like himself and wife Gwen Stefani. Shelton admitted that Kelce has a big personality, calling him a “standout.” Perhaps he sees a little of himself in the Kansas City Chiefs tight end. However, when it comes to romance, Blake thinks Travis and Taylor took a page out of his book.

“The fact that they’re both just kind of putting it out there in everybody’s face. There’s no sneaking around, or trying to tamp things down or keep it on the down low,” Shelton stated. “I think when you’re willing to just come out and just kind of put it in everybody’s face that you’re together and you’re owning it — that’s what Gwen and I did,” he added.
Shelton went on to reveal that he’s a big fan of Travis Kelce and his brother, Jason Kelce. He also says that he believes the NFL player and Taylor Swift have a real chance at a future together because of the way they tackle the spotlight in their relationship.
Meanwhile, not all fans are in agreement.
“This is actually embarrassing. I don’t think these couples are anything alike. I do see why Blake would want to think so though,” one person commented on Reddit.
“I guess both Blake and Gwen and Taylor and Travis were unlikely pairs. But, such different backgrounds with relationships, divorces, careers, etc…” another agreed.
While Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani may have some interesting thoughts on Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, the younger pair have yet to speak out on the country singer’s comments about their romance.
