Caitlin Clark is getting a well-deserved vacation with some other WNBA players in Cabo. Clark was snubbed from Team USA Women’s basketball, but she doesn’t seem to mind at all. The 22-year-old rookie headed down south this weekend with some of her Indiana Fever teammates. The WNBA is currently on pause for the 2024 Olympics in Paris, France. With the time off, the teammates are enjoying the summer sun together.
According to TMZ, Lexi Hull, Katie Lou Samuelson, and Caitlin Clark all jetted off to Cabo together. Clark can be seen rocking a brown bikini as she floats in the ocean with her team. Samuelson calls Clark and Hull “a couple of mermaids.” The vacation is much needed for Clark, who never really got a break between her final season at Iowa and the start of her WNBA career.
Caitlin Clark Is Enjoying Her Time Off
Caitlin has been on a tear during her first WNBA season. Clark is shooting for the Rookie Of the Year award. However, she has some competition with Angel Reese. Reese and Clark are very familiar with one another, as they met at the college national championship two years in a row. Reese got the last laugh in both of those games, though.
Reese and Clark have been in the headlines a lot since they joined the league. Many believe Reese is jealous of the attention Clark is getting. Caitlin Clark has quickly become the face of women’s basketball. However, Angel believes she deserves just as much praise.
Clark is putting the WNBA on the map. Number 22 is doing things no WNBA rookie has done before. Despite her team having a horrible record, Clark is a huge bright spot for the organization. Caitlin Clark does not play basketball again until August 16th. So, until then, she will enjoy her time off with her friends.
