Dax Shepard is spilling the tea on his adventurous or not-so-adventurous sex life with Kristen Bell. The pair have been married for over ten years, making them one of Hollywood’s enduring couples. Although they enjoy keeping their family life private, Shepard couldn’t help but address a longstanding rumor about their marriage.
During a Monday appearance on the Drew Barrymore Show, the Idiocracy actor finally answered a question that has been on fans’ minds. Needing no push from host Drew Barrymore, Shepard brought up the topic that he and Bell are rumored swingers. “There was the most exciting tabloid story that we were Hollywood swingers, and we hosted swing parties. This was in the tabloids,” he said. The 49-year-old recalled the rumor making him and Bell the butts of joke among their Hollywood circle. “My favorite part of that happening was we got a lot of texts from other friends of ours saying, ‘How could you not have invited me to the swinger party?‘”
He named talk show host Jimmy Kimmel as someone who playfully messaged about the speculations. “They were teasing, of course, because they know us, and they know we are not hosting swinger parties,” he confirmed. With the record now set straight, Shepard made a naughty confession about his bedroom life with the actress. When Barrymore wondered, “Is there anyone that you two do fantasize about getting in bed with?” the Armchair Expert podcast host divulged:
“Well, there’s a lot of hot couples out there, but no, we have not crossed that divide with anyone.”

While Shepard and Bell have yet to get in on with another couple, a certain Hollywood pair gets their spidey senses tingling. “You know who we are most in love with? We’re in love with Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen,” he gushed. “Oh my God, they are so dreamy as a couple. You just kind of want to be in their marriage. It’s not so much that Kristen even wants to bring me along or I want to bring her along — you just want to be in their marriage.” Danson and Bell were co-stars in the hit sitcom The Good Place.
Bell and Shepard, who first crossed paths in 2004, are due to celebrate their 11th wedding anniversary next month. Maybe the Danson and Steenburgen can give them the best anniversary gift.
