“It is kind of exciting. You know what, change, transition, evolution is a little frightening and we are all a bit scared of it, but I think it is probably our greatest gift,” the 68-year-old told The Daily Telegraph.

Finally, The Greatest Showman star admitted his feelings at a dinner party, and Furness felt the same way. The pair began dating, and four months into their relationship, Jackman asked Furness to marry him. On April 11, 1996, less than a year after they met, Deborra-Lee Furness and Hugh Jackman tied the knot.
The pair’s marriage would be blessed with two children — son Oscar, adopted in 2000, and daughter Ava, adopted in 2005. For the next couple of years, they all lived together as a happy family of four. However, in September 2023, after 27 years of marriage, Furness and Jackman split. They shared the news via a joint statement, revealing it was an “amicable” decision.
“Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth,” they added.
Over four months later, Furness and Jackman still share a healthy and close relationship, and fans are hopeful it will stay that way for a long time.
