Sean Diddy Combs embraces a positive attitude as he faces jail time at the Metropolitan Detention Center. Earlier this month, the Bad Boy Records CEO stood before a New York judge following his arrest the night prior in connection with his sex trafficking and racketeering case. The court ordered his immediate detention without bail at the Metropolitan Detention Center. The rapper has remained at MDC ever since, despite his legal team’s multiple attempts to secure bail.
Regardless of the multiple bail denials, Sean Diddy Combs remains positive in jail, while awaiting trial. His attorney Marc Agnifilio revealed this on TMZ’s documentary, The Downfall of Diddy: The Indictment, which recently dropped on Tubi. In the documentary, which dissects the disgraced rapper’s sex trafficking scandal, alleged freak-offs, home raids by the feds, his arrest and indictment, as well as his eventual arrest, Marc gave insight into Diddy’s approach to his current pitfalls.
Diddy Derives Newfound Strength and Confidence in Metropolitan Jail
According to the attorney, the rapper surprisingly isn’t letting the circumstances weigh him down, choosing instead to focus his defense and remain positive. This effort to channel his energy towards the positive has given Diddy the strength and confidence needed to deal with his time in jail. Going further, the lawyer revealed one of the star’s coping mechanisms, living by the adage,
“Don’t tell me what I did wrong, tell me what I do next.”
Adopting this 13-word adage has greatly helped the rapper restore his strength and confidence, as he comes to terms with the fact that the Metropolitan Detention Center, Brooklyn has become his new home. In the documentary, Marc Agnifilio also claimed Diddy’s investigation and indictment had everything to do with his race. According to him, the feds simply targeted the rapper because of the color of his skin, making it yet another scenario of the government targeting a successful black man.
With tons of evidence against the rapper, and testimonies from alleged past victims, the racial card is unlikely to work in Diddy’s favor. The likes of 50 Cents have taken jabs at the rapper even as he awaits trial at MDC, making no secret of the fact that they deem him guilty. But the icon has the support of his kids through these trying times, as they continue hoping for a favorable turn of events.
