The year 2024 has been a wild one for the singer and actress. Not only did she lose the “love of her life” Ben Affleck a second time, but the star has been dragged into the shady affairs of her ex, Sean “Diddy” Combs, arrested months back in connection with sex trafficking, drug possession, and firearms offenses.
Granted, her link to the disgraced rapper could not have reared its head at a worse time given her already chaotic personal life. Yet, things are about to get even uglier for Jennifer. Another of her ex-boyfriends, whom she dated from 2011 to 2016 after her divorce from Marc Anthony, recently became entangled with the law and could face severe penalties.
LA Cops Expose Casper Smart’s Cannabis Operation Amid Jennifer Lopez’s Diddy Drama
According to TMZ, law enforcement officials raided Casper Smart’s home on Monday, December 23, 2024. The home raid, which took place two days before Christmas followed tips from unidentified sources claiming he had a cannabis grow in his Los Angeles home.
Having obtained a search warrant, the cops stormed the house just before 9 a.m. on the said day. Reports show the tip proved viable, as law enforcement officials discovered a small-to-medium-size cannabis grow operation in Casper’s home. Although officers cited and released Casper Smart at the scene, Jennifer Lopez’s ex-boyfriend still has a tough legal battle ahead as a result. Sources revealed that the case would be handed over to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, where his fate would be decided. The 37-year-old could face a misdemeanor charge pending the decision from the DA’s office.

Although not as severe as Diddy’s case, Casper Smart’s home raid makes him the second of Jennifer Lopez’s exes to become entangled with the law those year. Notably, this is not a good look for the star, who has struggled to hold her head high in the face of the Diddy drama, especially with details constantly roping her into the web. Earlier, Jennifer’s ex-husband Ojani Noa publicly accused her of participating in Diddy’s infamous freak-off parties during their ’90s romance.
Like other celebs who have been namedropped in connection to these freak-offs, Jennifer faced her fair share of backlash. Just as it seemed to blow over with time, a resurfaced photo of Jennifer Lopez and Diddy seemingly locked in an argument on the same night he and Jay-Z allegedly raped a 13-year-old girl at the VMAs pulled her back into the loop. Ultimately, the Atlas actress now finds herself at the center of the Jay-Z rape scandal, with fans casting daggers at her and suggesting she knew more than she was letting off, and possibly, had her hands stained as well. With another “shady” ex on the loop, JLo could be setting herself up for one hard fall.
