War may never change, but Ella Purnell’s wardrobe certainly does! Indeed, the Fallout star dropped a charming share delighting her 923,000 followers over on Instagram today giving fans a glimpse of the show’s premiere in Los Angeles earlier this month. Ditching the blue vault-tec jumpsuit that fans associate with her character, Lucy, the 27-year-old English actress opted for a shimmering crystal-trimmed low-cut Miu Miu dress.
Depending on how the light hits, the iridescent gown oscillates between deep purple hues and glistening green tones. Purnell complemented her arresting ensemble with a pair of silver dewdrop earrings along with her signature long brunette locks styled straight.

At the time of writing, the share has managed to accrue over 91,000 likes. Accompanying it is a caption from Purnell, saying: “a few of my favourite photos from the Fallout premiere which somehow already feels like a year ago?!?? and what a crazy year it’s been. Extra special magical and grateful thank you’s to the team who got me ready.”

More specifically, the social media post comprises of nine images lifting the lid on the world premiere of Amazon’s excellent Fallout series at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood earlier this month. Alongside images of Ella Purnell are snaps of the cast and crew, including Fallout 4‘s very own director, Todd Howard, who interestingly serves as executive producer on the TV show adaptation as well. In addition, there are a trio of pics featuring Ella Purnell with her boyfriend Max Bennett Kelly, who is a multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter based in Seattle.

Of course, it wasn’t long before fans began flooding the comments with praise and admiration.

The Fallout TV show premiered on Amazon Prime on April 10, and it’s safe to say that it’s been a massive hit for both the game’s publisher Bethesda Game Studios and the streaming service. In essence, it follows the story of three different characters — a vault-dweller called Lucy, a bounty hunter known as The Ghoul, and a Knight of the Brotherhood of Steel named Maximus — as they venture across the post-apocalyptic wasteland in search of a sought-after artefact.
Interestingly, while many Fallout fans believe that Ella Purnell hasn’t played the games the show is based upon, she has actually played Fallout 4. In an interview with Collider, the London-based actress opened up about her relationship with the Fallout titles.
“Everyone involved said to me, ‘You don’t have to play the game. You really don’t need to. It’s not mandatory by any means.’ And I did anyway, because I wanted to feel the full weight of what all of this meant. I wanted to feel the gravitas of that moment when I first tried on the vault suit, and knowing how special this was, and what a big deal, what an honor it was to be able to do that.“
