Former LFO Singer Brian Gillis dies
Brian “Brizz” Gillis dies at the age of 47; former LFO Singer Brian passed away this week from causes yet to be disclosed publicly.
LFO’s Brad Fischetti announced the news of Brian’s death on Instagram on Thursday, March 30. Brian was a co-founder and member of the band from 1995 to 1999.
“Every story is made up of chapters. Some develop naturally. Some you have to cut up in your mind. The first two chapters of the LFO story lost a main character yesterday,” Brad began. “Brian ‘Brizz’ Gillis passed away.”
Brad noted that he doesn’t have details about what caused Brian’s death and that it wouldn’t be his “place to share them” even if he did.
The musician said he is having a hard time processing the unfortunate news. He also noted that the band’s story is a tragic one.
“I’ve said it before and I will continue to say it; the LFO Story is a tragedy,” he wrote. “If you know what I’ve been doing, you know I’m trying to bring light into the darkness. Trying find redemption in pain and suffering. Trying to honor the legacy.”
Brian And Brad Had A Complicated Relationship
Brad also said that he’s simply committed to honoring his former bandmate and friend, Brian.
The LFO band member spoke to the band’s live audience, saying that Brian meant a lot to the group. Brad also stated that LFO exists because of Brian’s “hard work and dedication” in the band’s neonatal stage.
He admitted that his and Brian’s relationship was “complex” and marked with “moments of great tribulation but also of great joy.”
The 47-year-old said he learned a lot from Brian. Brad revealed that Brian taught him the business and logistics involved in making music. He promised to remember all the positive parts of their relationship.
The actor shared that he prayed for his late friend daily for years. He also promised to start praying for Brian’s family and loved ones.
Brad also made reference to two of the band’s members who died earlier. “I know that soon or maybe already, Brizz will be greeted by Rich and Devin,” he added of Rich Cronin and Devin Lima, former LFO band members who died in 2010 and 2018, respectively.
“And I hope that together, they will make some sweet sounds. I would really like that. Rest east bro. Rest easy.”
Brad Fischetti is now the last member of the band to be alive. Needless to say, former LFO Singer Brian will be surely missed by his family and friends.
