The fog surrounding Gypsy Rose Blanchard‘s unborn child will soon be lifted thanks to a paternity test. The former convict has been shrouded in speculations over her pregnancy, especially about her baby’s father. Blanchard announced she was expecting a daughter with her boyfriend Ken Urker just months after separating from Ryan Anderson.
While she remains adamant her lover is the father, the paternity test will clear all doubts about the baby. Sources familiar with the situation claimed Blanchard wanted to give the public and her estranged husband some closure. On that note, she did not include Anderson in the paternity test and would only use Urker’s DNA.
Besides clearing the air about her baby’s father, Blanchard needed the test for her child’s birth certificate. Anderson would automatically be listed as the father under Louisiana law because their divorce hasn’t been finalized. To avoid this outcome, Blanchard needed a paternity test showcasing Urker as the father after the baby’s birth.
However, she chose to do an early test so she and her ex could move on with their lives. An early paternity test, per TMZ, costs around $500 to $2,000, and Blanchard would reportedly cover the bill. She planned to do so through a local company and hopefully get the result admissible in court.
Fans Slammed Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s Boyfriend for His Reaction to Her Pregnancy
Weeks earlier, Blanchard and Urker got fans talking following their appearance on “The Viall Files” podcast. We reported that the media personality’s boyfriend recalled his reaction to her pregnancy, noting he agreed with fans’ comments about the timing. “I would agree with the sentiment that, yes, it was very much too soon. At the same time, it’s a child. It’s a blessing. I think I had a whole cocktail of emotions in that moment. And I think I needed a minute to process,” Urker said, adding:
“After the initial shock, I was, like, [telling Gypsy,] ‘Let me call you back in like 10 minutes. I felt like I just needed to walk around and breathe for a minute.'”
Urker added that he “always wanted the American dream of like married, the kids, a house, and all that.” Fans did not approve of his reaction, suspecting he did not love Blanchard enough to have a child. “Sadly, I don’t see this relationship ending well. Ken already looks at her like he’s not in love. They both LOVE to be the center of attention by the things they say….Something just feels off about him,” a commenter penned.
“Ken Urker said on Life after Lock Up that he didn’t think she would get as famous as she did. It’s so obvious why he’s with her,” another penned. While a third comment read, “Ken is the worst actor. You can tell he’s only with her for clout. It’s so weird and creepy.”
Will the paternity test name Ken Urker the father of Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s baby?
