Gomez broke the exciting news on Instagram with a carousel of photos showcasing her stunning diamond engagement ring. The slideshow ended with a heartwarming snap of her and Blanco in a warm embrace, commemorating their new milestone. “Forever begins now,” the latest fiancée in town captioned the announcement. Soon enough, many of the couple’s celebrity pals camped in the comments to offer congratulatory messages and first in line was Swift. The Karma singer proudly gushed, “Yes, I will be the flower girl.”
Swift and Gomez’s friendship is one of the enduring ones in Hollywood, going as far back as 2008. Despite both having rising singing careers, the pals only connected because they were each dating a Jonas Brother at the time — Gomez was with Nick Jonas while Swift saw Joe Jonas.
