Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are coming off a happy Thanksgiving holiday together and are making plans for their family Christmas celebrations. The former spouses spend a lot of time together and are reportedly growing closer than ever. However, many of Jen’s fans believe there is more to their relationship than friendship, at least for Garner.
Jennifer Garner has been a shoulder to lean on for Ben Affleck during his divorce from JLo. Garner is everything to Ben, his best friend and therapist, but Jen’s fans say they can’t help but sense that she would love for things to be way more.
Previous reports reveal that Jennifer Garner has stated that when it comes to her former husband, Ben Affleck, she invested a lot of time in helping him become the man he is today. She stood by his side through rehab and counseling, cheering him on to be a better version of his former self.
Jennifer Garner also claims that when Ben and JLo got married, she couldn’t help but feel a little salty. She was envious of Lopez and felt she got the version of Ben Affleck that she had always longed for and helped to create.
“It is so easy to see that Jen secretly longs to get back together with Ben. It is what she has always wanted. Why else would an ex invest so much time into a relationship with her former spouse?” writes one commenter.
“They will wind up back together at some point. They both want it to happen, even if they won’t admit it,” adds another.
Ben Affleck Is Only Happy When He Is With Jennifer Garner
Inside sources tell Life & Style that Ben and Jen are growing closer each day, and it is not going unnoticed by their friends. “Ben and Jen are closer than ever,” the source dishes. “They’ve developed a mutual respect and a deeper level of friendship they didn’t have before. It has some friends asking if they could be on their way to getting back together.”
Jennifer Garner loves the progress that she sees Ben Affleck making. “He’s done a lot of work on himself, and he’s a much better man for it. It’s what Jen has always hoped for him. It’s also no secret that Ben thinks Jen was the best thing to ever happen to him.”
Ben also admitted he felt immense “shame” during their divorce, calling their split the “biggest regret of my life.” There are some intense feelings between the former spouses. It reportedly has JLo very distraught. So much so that those close to Ben think it could be a big reason Lopez is dragging her feet moving forward with the divorce. They also think it is why Jen and their boyfriend, John Miller, have yet to marry.
Affleck is more than close with Garner. In fact, he is reportedly happier than he has been in a long time since he was with her. Fans recently blasted the Gone Girl star for reportedly being too comfy with Jen. He loves that while she cares for him like a wife, he is still a free man. Even so, they believe Jen G. will continue to stick around while secretly longing for that reconciliation.
Time will tell if Jennifer Garner finally gets the life she wants and feels she deserves with Ben Affleck. But if JLo has her way, it won’t happen anytime soon. So, things could stay pretty messy for these celebrities for a while.
