Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have been dealing with the details of their split ever since JLo filed for divorce in August. The couple opted to end their marriage after only two years. However, things are beginning to get a bit complicated as they look to sort through their assets. The duo reportedly didn’t sign a prenup before walking down the aisle. Now, they’re paying for it as they endure the tedious process of dividing up their property and finances.
According to In Touch Weekly, Jennifer Lopez is hashing out her divorce with Ben Affleck, but it’s not easy. Even if the two are in agreement about most things in their settlement, they still have to figure out what to do with the assets they acquired throughout their marriage. Earnings, property, and most importantly their lavish $60 million mansion.
“They had no prenup, which complicates things, and what’s at stake are the assets they acquired together during their marriage — the $60 million house they’ve listed for $68 million, and the production company Artists Equity Ben formed with Matt Damon two years ago, which Jennifer also has a stake in,” an insider stated.

The house may prove to be the biggest complication in Ben and JLo’s divorce talks. The singer is said to have shelled out most of the cash for the home they planned to live in with their blended family. Now, she’s looking to get that money back.
“[Lopez] put down the bulk of cash for their gigantic mansion, plus paid for many of the renovations. She wants to get her investment back,” the informant dished.
Meanwhile, Affleck is ready to play ball. However, he’s not willing to give his estranged wife a cut of his business. “[Ben] is willing to give in to some extent — but he doesn’t think Jennifer has a right to a cut from future Artists Equity projects. They just want a resolution soon,” the source added.
The Daily Mail previously reported that Ben and Jen are trying their best to be friends amid their split. They want to put on a united front for their kids. However, their messy divorce could change all of that.
“Once Ben is in a relationship with another woman, let’s see how friendly Lopez will be. Ben has purchased a serene piece of property and home, nothing like the showpiece Lopez is trying to unload. Hollywood isn’t all it’s cracked up to be,” one person commented.
