Sources tell In Touch Weekly that Jennifer Lopez celebrated her 55th birthday in New York with her friends. The singer had a Bridgerton-themed birthday bash, and her guests couldn’t help but notice that Ben Affleck wasn’t in attendance at the party. Instead, the actor remained in Los Angeles.

“Jennifer knew better, but a part of her was still hoping that he would show up. Some of the guests thought so, too,” an insider stated. “Ben’s absence was definitely noticed. While it was the elephant in the room, no one dared to ask the birthday girl about it.”
Affleck and Lopez haven’t been seen in public together in weeks. They’ve also opted to sell their California mansion. Meanwhile, the actor has reportedly bought his own bachelor pad, which was said to be like a knife in the heart to JLo. Affleck’s new home reportedly has five bedrooms, six bathrooms, a guest house, and several other features, per Radar Online.
“Jennifer’s been putting on a brave face through it all, but this isn’t where she thought she’d be at this point in her life. All Jennifer wants is a lasting love,” the source continued. “She thought she had that with Ben.”
