Katie Holmes has found her name in the headlines recently because of two of her famous exes. The former Dawson’s Creek star is known for keeping her life pretty private. She doesn’t often comment on rumors are make bold statements about her personal life. In the past she’s had some high-profile relationships with the likes of actors Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx. However, she was recently forced to speak out after her only child, daughter Suri Cruise, became involved in the media madness.
After it was reported that Suri Cruise had a huge trust fund from her parents, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, the actress sprung into action. She took to social media to debunk the rumor. Fans cheered her on, as it was clear the speculation had put a target on Suri, who no longer lives at home. The teenager is currently away at college, and Katie wanted to make it clear that Tom didn’t gift his daughter some massive amount of money that finally kicked in.
Sadly, that wasn’t the most recent blow for Holmes. Last week, her former longtime love, Jamie Foxx, seemed to throw some major shade at the actress, per The Daily Mail. The actor/comedian’s Netflix stand-up special premiered, and during his routine, he talked about no longer dating white women.
“I’ve been cured of everything, no more white girls. I’m serious, no more white girls,” Foxx joked. He later added some derogatory remarks about white women, which had some fans fuming.
Katie Holmes’ Exes Cause Media Stir For Her
Although Foxx didn’t mention Holmes by name, the consensus was that he was throwing shade at his former girlfriend. Jamie and Katie dated very privately from 2013 until 2019. They were rarely seen out together, and never spoke about their relationship publicly before or after their split.
However, Holmes is keeping her head held high and letting things roll off of her back. She was spotted amid all of the drama in New York City. Katie looked incredible as she sported a tan turtleneck sweater, flared-legged jeans, and a floor-length lime green overcoat. She added a chunky gray sweater, which she tied around her neck.
Katie accessorized the look with a beige handbag and black beanie. She also wore a pair of oversized sunglasses and black boots. The actress carried a cup of coffee in one hand and a bouquet of flowers in the other.
Holmes smiled for photos as she walked the NYC streets. She opted for a glowing makeup look, which included pink cheeks and matching lips.
Fans certainly appeared to be on Katie Holmes’ side in the comments section. Many revealed their disdain for Jamie Foxx’s comments, as well as brought up her past relationship with Tom Cruise.
“What a seriously distasteful thing to say,” one person said of Foxx’s jokes.
“Girl you are better off without Tom or Jamie. You just need to work on your self-worth,” another stated.
“She has terrible taste in men,” a third person pointed out.
Katie Holmes has always seemed to keep to herself. She didn’t speak out about Jamie Foxx’s alleged shade. She’s also stayed silent on her divorce from Tom Cruise over the years. Sadly, it seems she hasn’t always given that same courtesy.
