Even Kris Jenner has something negative to say about Kim Kardashian‘s parenting style. The SKIMS founder is often criticized for how she parents her four kids, whom she shares with her ex, Kanye West. She has been accused of being too liberal and exposing her kids to fame too early, among other things. However, the backlash comes not only from outsiders but also from her inner circle, especially her mom.
Kim dished on being frustrated by the famous momager on the latest episode of What In The Winkler? Podcast. While chatting with BFF Zoe Winkler, she recalled an incident that happened at Kris’ recent 69th birthday celebration. “This is the one really frustrating thing that my mom does,” she shared. “My mom is like the most judgmental when it comes to snacks, candy.”
She explained that Kris invited the whole family to her home, which has every type of candy and ice cream. However, when her son reached for some, the doting grandmother wasn’t pleased. “So she invites us over, and then my son, you know, went into a freezer last night. It’s her birthday, so she has cake, and he goes, ‘I don’t want cake. I want an ice cream instead.’”
Kim continued, “And she’s like, ‘Look at him eating that ice cream,’ and I’m like, ‘You’re judging me.’ My mom judges me like I’m the worst because I allowed them to have an ice cream that they had at her house.”
Kim Kardashian ‘Mortified’ Over Son Saint’s Recent Election Errors
While Kris’ judgment is over superficial issues, Kim has been in hot waters recently, thanks to her son Saint West. However, the mother-of-four isn’t taking the criticism to heart and wants everyone to relax.
The beauty mogul revealed she was focused on giving herself grace when her children make mistakes. She recalled Saint’s recent scandal when he shared a post promoting his Fortnite account on her Instagram hours after Donald Trump won the presidential election.
Although Kim was heavily slammed, even called the “world’s worst mother,” she confirmed that it was Saint, not her, who made the controversial post. “Like if your kid says a bad word or something where you would be mortified,” she began. “Like when Saint took my phone and posted… and my publicist is writing me like ‘This is what you’re posting on Election Day?’ And I was like, ‘It’s a kid. He has no idea.’”
She also made reference to the anti-Kamala Harris content he reposted on YouTube, which resulted in her taking down his account. Kim admitted she sometimes struggles with making “a big enough deal of things.“ However, she is willing to let the children make mistakes of their own. “Sometimes I like when kids work it out themselves, and they figured it out themselves. Sometimes, we have to intervene,” she concluded.
