Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks have fallen behind a huge three-game-to-none deficit in the 2024 NBA Finals. The Boston Celtics are dismantling this Western Conference team with little difficulty. However, many around the NBA have torn apart Mavs’ star Luka Doncic for his behavior on the court, including ESPN’s Brian Windhorst. Windhorst has been taken aback by Doncic’s inability to lead his team. Things are looking bad for Dallas.
According to TMZ, What really sent Windhorst over the edge was when Doncic was knocked to the floor towards the end of the fourth quarter. Luka’s immediate reaction was to cuss out his bench to challenge his sixth and final foul of the game. Windy continued to condemn Luka due to the fact he had just made a “terrible play.”

“His performance in this game is unacceptable and the reason why the Mavericks are not going to win,” Windhorst said. “He’s gotta get over this. The fact he came out of the game and blamed the officials showed me he’s nowhere close yet. So maybe over the summer, somebody will get to him because nobody with the Mavericks or anybody else in his life has, and that’s why the Mavericks are at this point. They’ll never get to this tunnel with the trophy if he doesn’t improve those aspects of his game.”
Sure enough, one of the points Luka Doncic made in his press conference was to say that six fouls in the NBA Finals are “ridiculous.” This has been a recurring issue since Doncic was drafted by the Dallas Mavericks.
Luka Doncic is known to bark at every official after every play that doesn’t end up benefiting him. All it took was for Brian Windhorst to finally call him out. Now, fans notice that this is not how a professional basketball player should act. However, there are no signs of Luka changing his ways. This could end up being a disaster for the Dallas Mavericks.
