Luke Bryan’s fans know he puts on a good show. But no one was expecting him to take a tumble mid-performance. However, this is exactly what happened when the Huntin’, Fishin’ and Lovin’ Every Day musician was performing at the Coast City Country Festival in Vancouver, Canada, on April 20, 2024 (as part of his Mind Of A Country Boy Tour). Footage of the onstage fall makes it look serious. However, Luke Byran has since joked about how he was fortunate to have a little extra cushioning.
What Caused Luke Bryan’s Fall?
It’s not immediately clear what caused Luke Bryan’s fall, but in a clip that has been making its rounds, he falls to the floor and then gets up shortly after. He continued performing, but it looked painful. After seeing the clip, fans have asked several questions about what went wrong. Was the stage wet? Did he stand on something?
The musician recently gave an interview to TMZ when he was spotted in Los Angeles. In it, he sheds more light on what happened … and it appears a phone may have been to blame. “You know … the phone was down there, it was just, it was down there,” he began. “Whether it was a phone or a slippery stage … but there was a lot of phones down there … when I landed, the first thing I hit was a phone,” he told the outlet.
He was questioned about the seriousness of his tumble and whether he had any injuries, to which he responded, that he was “all good.” Luke Bryan’s fall also inspired him to get a little playful with his response, telling TMZ, “Hey, I got a lot of meat back there.”
Fans can throw some crazy things up on stage, everything from water bottles to underwear. So, it’s entirely possible one fan thought throwing up their phone was a good idea. Let’s hope next time they think about the musician onstage before doing something similar again.
