Martha Stewart‘s ex-husband’s partner, Shyla Nelson, is defending her lover! Martha revealed her marital struggles in a new Netflix documentary, Martha. Shyla responded to Martha’s cheating claims in her marriage to Andrew Stewart, encouraging her to move on. For Shyla, Andrew’s marriage to Martha was a huge part of his dark days, which ended 40 years ago. She continued that, while Andrew has moved on, his ex-wife is stuck in the past. She wrote:
“Martha continues to publicly relitigate the marriage, including comments in a sensationalized trailer for an upcoming documentary on Netflix.”
Shirley could not help but admit that there is a stark difference between Andrew’s past and present. A fact she states they openly show gratitude for, especially that they get to share a life together. Shirley wrapped up her long speech by wishing Martha a life where she experiences loving and being loved deeply.
Above all, Martha hoped her documentary would teach valuable lessons. She wanted viewers to gain an understanding from it. The author disclosed that she and Andrew engaged in extra marital affairs during their nearly three decade long union. Martha relished on two different affairs in the documentary including one with an “attractive Irish man” in the 60s. The cooking expert disclosed that Andrew was not satisfied in the marriage and kept a few romantic relationships.
She advised young women not to hesitate leaving a marriage at the first wind of infidelity from their partner. On their divorce, Martha explained that the move was initiated by her ex-husband who wanted to throw her away. The star bragged about her beauty as a 40-year-old at the time, but Andrew did not feel the same. Martha shared the blame equally, admitting that they treated each other badly, per PEOPLE.
Martha Stewart Is Not So Passionate About ‘Finding Love’ With Anyone
Shyla’s advice to the cookbook author on experiencing love may ultimately fall on deaf ears. We reported last month that the celebrity had some dating issues. They have stalled her plans to find a partner. “I know a lot of eligible men. I think they really want a woman who will take care of them, so I’m still not quite in that position where I can take care of a man full-time because I work too much, and that’s my big problem,” she stated.
She was even offered a huge amount of money by her friends to appear on The Golden Bachelorette. Martha in her typical firm nature politely rejected the sum claiming the boys may not meet her physical requirements. The convicted TV personality’s response was co-signed by her bestie, Snoop Dogg who admitted that money is not everything.
Martha has not been linked with anyone romantically in almost 20 years after her split from billionaire Charles Simonyi. The Microsoft Office creator and the celebrity dated for 15 years. This includes the time before and after her prison sentence.
Martha Stewart and Andrew Stewart share a daughter, Alexis who they welcomed in 1965.
