Meagan Good is finally speaking up about her relationship with Jonathan Majors. The couple unveiled their romance at a tricky time when the Marvel actor was in court for allegedly assaulting and harassing his ex-girlfriend. As expected, fans frowned at the relationship, bashing Good for choosing to be with the controversial actor. However, the actress maintains that she had spiritual backing for her unconventional decision.
During an appearance on TODAY with Hoda & Jenna, Good defended her choice when host Hoda Kotb wondered if her friends advised her to slow down because of Majors’ legal troubles.
“Uh, yeah every friend advised me, but at the end of the day, one thing I know is I can always look at myself in the mirror when I trust my spirit, when I trust God, when I ask God, and when I move to the beat of my own drum.”

Good explained that she considered all her loved ones’ opinions, but she had to “live my life.” As for how her relationship with Majors is going after one year, the Harlem actress gave nothing but glowing reviews.
“The support we’ve been able to give each other, the pouring into each other, the honest conversations, the love, the respect, just the care and the thoughtfulness, it’s just been really wonderful.”

Good’s revelation about her relationship comes just a month after they made their first red carpet appearance since Majors’ domestic violence trial. The lovebirds turned heads at the 2024 NAACP Theatre Awards in Los Angeles. They struggled to keep their hands off each other, and their love was glaring.
Recall that Majors’ reputation took a hit in March 2023 when he was arrested for attacking his ex, Grace Jabbari. After a two-week trial, he was found guilty of reckless assault and harassment. The Creed III actor was, however, acquitted of two other charges — one count of intentional assault and one count of aggravated harassment. Majors escaped jail time.
