Let’s be honest: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are no strangers to criticism, and almost everything they’ve done in recent months has come under fire. Fans are definitely getting disenchanted with the couple. But despite the multiple negative headlines about them, Markle’s former Suits co-star Wendell Pierce recently shared his opinion on their coupling and has a much more positive take on what they are like as a unit.
The actor admitted that when he saw Markle and Prince Harry sometime last year, they appeared to be happy. He told People, “When [Meghan] came into town, she got an award last year, had a chance to say hello and wish she and Prince Harry well and wish the children well. They look very much in love and were very happy, so that’s the most important thing.”
Pierce also praised Markle as an actress, claiming that working with her was “a blast” and they have stayed in contact since the end of Suits. “I’ve gotten to see her just a few times since, and we’ve been able to reminisce and so it’s real. We have fond memories of working together,” he shared.
Wendell Pierce may have only nice things to say about Meghan Markle and his time working with her. But she has recently made headlines for allegedly trying to upstage Kate Middleton’s return to the limelight. Middleton is dealing with health concerns and, earlier this year, admitted to being diagnosed with cancer. However, she appeared at the Trooping the Colour celebration, which marked a special moment for fans of the Royal family.
However, royal expert Jonathan Sacerdoti shared his thoughts with TMZ about the timing of Markle’s recent launch of her American Riviera Orchard’s jams and dog biscuits. And how they appeared to coincide with Middleton’s attendance at the event. The products were shared online by her friend, Nacho Figueras. But this did not go unnoticed by critics, with Sacerdoti calling the move “pathetic.”
Does Meghan Markle deserve the backlash this time, or do people have it all wrong? Only time will tell.
