Miranda Lambert didn’t let her bruises get in the way of channeling her signature Daisy Dukes style as she hit up NYC. In the summer of 2019, the Grammy-winning singer was photographed casually strolling through the Big Apple with husband Brendan McLoughlin, but headlines were neither about her outfit nor her marriage.
Rocking a skimpy pair of denim shorts, Miranda drew the eye to a very large, painful-looking bruise on her thigh, one leaving some fans in the comments worried. While some wondered if the 40-year-old had hurt herself horseback riding, others felt that it could have been anything. The “Bluebird” hitmaker is not known to have ever opened up about what caused her bruising.

Looking cute in a lightweight pair of frayed denim shorts that showed off her shapely legs, Miranda beat the NYC heat in a skimpy, simple white tank top tucked into her shorts.
Rocking a cross-body purse and baseball cap, the blonde styled her hair into pigtail braids, adding in New Balance sneakers in fade-effect red and keeping her glam summery. Sporting bronzer over foundation, plus a frosted pink lip, Miranda showed off her gorgeous features as she walked around, with some images showing 2019-married husband Brendan by her side. The former NYPD officer kept casual in a blue shirt and shorts as he kept his wife company.
Fans Wondering What The Bruise Is
Nobody could have missed the large bruises on Miranda’s left upper thigh, ones most visible in photos showing her crossing a street while backed by New York’s iconic yellow cabs.
The snaps, published by The Daily Mail, quickly gathered comments. “That’s the kind of bruise you get falling down the stairs. I wonder if she’ll say what happened,” one replied. Also appearing to hope that the country singer was okay was a user saying: “Ouch! That looks painful. She’s had a rough few years.”
Some, however, were of the opinion that the star’s bruise was not newsworthy. “News? We all get nasty bruises at some point,” one bitterly wrote.
Miranda appears to have made a recovery with the endless leggy shots she’s since posted to her Instagram. She made May headlines for dazzling her followers in a slinky, cut-out black dress she showed off at this year’s AMC Awards. Going belted as she added in pops of blue, the stunner earned over 59,000 likes for showing off her look.
