Naomi Campbell is fast becoming the queen of celebrity feuds. The iconic model was recently in the news for publicly shading fashion powerhouse Anna Wintour. However, it seems the Vogue editor-in-chief isn’t the only Hollywood VIP Campbell has a problem with.
Barely a week after her Wintour drama, fans are convinced Campbell and Rihanna are feuding after an awkward interaction at the New York Fashion Week. The billionaire singer made time out of her busy schedule to attend the Alaïa Spring 2025 show on Friday. As seen in a viral video, Rihanna, while walking into the event with her entourage, stopped to give a man believed to be Edward Enninful of British Vogue a hug. Seated next to Enninful is none other than Campbell, who is smiling at Riri. Unfortunately, the Fenty Beauty founder gives her no acknowledgment, barely looking at her or saying hello.
It didn’t take long for fans to interpret the clip as something more. Many believed Rihanna’s alleged cold shoulder was proof that she and Campbell were enemies—a rumor that has been prominent for years. “Naomi Campbell and Rihanna really do hate each other,” one fan wrote. Another comment read, “Her totally ignoring Naomi is giving me LIFE.” A third fan penned:
“This is an art. Being able to know someone you don’t want to deal with is right in front of you and you can just walk by without any recognition or hesitation.”
Naomi Campbell Once Denied Feud With Rihanna
It is unclear what sparked the feud rumors. However, there are claims that Riri’s relationship with Saudi billionaire Hassan Jameel is responsible for the drama. Before they became an item in 2017, Campbell sparked romance rumors with Hassan a year before. The British model and the philanthropist were seen getting cozy at the British Summer Time Festival. Many believe Rihanna broke the girl code to date her friend’s ex, causing them to fall out. However, Campbell’s relationship with Jameel was never confirmed.
Although Rihanna has never addressed the alleged rift, Campbell did so in 2021 during an appearance on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live. “Everything’s fine. Of course, it’s fine. I don’t have beef. I don’t have beef, especially with black women that I think are powerful and out there. We’re all in the same thing, doing the same struggle,” she said. However, their recent interaction screams anything but fine.
