Salma Hayek gained over 300,000 Instagram likes for showing off her sparkly blue dress in April, but remarks outside of the actress’ social media weren’t kind. Putting on a stylish display at the Fondazione Cini, Isola Di San Giorgio photocall in Italy this Spring, the 57-year-old wowed in a bedazzled, low-cut gown, highlighting her killer curves, but nonetheless winding up shamed over her look.
Alongside being told that her dress was “ill-fitting,” Salma had fans saying that her gown was “too small,” although many did send the MCU star love. The fancy soiree also marked another public appearance with billionaire husband Francois-Henri Pinault. Salma married the Kering owner in 2009 and shares daughter Valentina with him.
Salma Hayek Stuns Instagram In Glitter Dress
Dazzling in a vivid strapless dress that showcased her hourglass figure, Salma looked decades younger than her years as she went shimmering in her form-fitting maxi number.
Rocking a near-floor-length and with segmented tassels around the ankles affording a confetti-like finish, The Eternals star placed her hands on her hips in her opening IG snap, sending out a confident stare and inching toward a smile.
Flashing her curves tastefully as she went a little heaving up top, Salma accessorized her dress with chunky, black heels with a strappy design, going summery with an open toe while showing off her red pedicure. Wearing her dark hair in soft waves, the mom of one sported an impeccable face of makeup, coordinating her red lip with her chic pedicure. In her Instagram caption, she tagged Spanish designer Balenciaga for the dress and luxury jewelry Boucheron for her diamond rings and earrings.
Told Dress Fits Badly, Too Small
The Daily Mail‘s readers appeared a touch jealous. Either that, or they were in the mood to hate on Salma.
“C’mon Salma- you can do much better. That dress looks ill-fitting and the shoes don’t go either. Love her regardless!” one wrote.
Another said that the dress looks “awful on her,” with a third writing: “The dress seems too small and the middle hair part does her no favors having said that she is still beautiful.”
The outdoor photos, taken during the 60th Biennale Art 2024 event Hayek and Pinault were attending, also showed Salma with stepdaughter Matilde.
Salma is known for rocking brands that husband Pinault’s Kering group owns — Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, Gucci, and Bottega Veneta are just some.
The actress has also been making 2024 fashion headlines for showing off her curves in a British designer’s looks, with this summer seeing her in Victoria Beckham as she attended the former Spice Girl’ 50th birthday.
