Shawn talked about his mental health and his physical unpreparedness for the work involved in his tour. The 23-year-old superstar has decided to prioritize his health in order to avoid a total breakdown.

He announced that he has canceled the rest of his tour scheduled in the United States, United Kingdom/Europe. Prior to this announcement, he postponed a few of his shows because he was not prepared for the toll that the road would take on him.
Shawn stated that he was excited to get the tour started and back to live stage performance since the pandemic break. But he was not ready for the tediousness associated with touring after the long break from it. Mendes went on to note that he had to consult with his team and some medical professionals. He was advised to take a break so he could “ground” himself in order to bounce back stronger than ever.
Fans had several reactions to his post, most of which advised him to take a break from work. Mendes went on to assure his fans that the health break won’t stop him from making new music. Shawn also admitted to his fans that he knows how long they’ve waited to see these shows, and it breaks his heart to cancel the tour.
