Taylor Swift and Katy Perry seem to be over their bad blood. The two have buried the hatchet. Their beef lasted many years. However, now, the two seemingly have mutual respect for each other. Recently, Taylor could be seen singing along to the singer’s set during the MTV VMAs last month. Swift also cheered during Perry’s acceptance speech. Although the two artists are no longer at each other’s throats, will the peace last?
According to Radar Online, not too long ago, Katy Perry attended one of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour shows in Sydney, Australia. In recent history, nobody could even mention Perry’s name to Swift and vice versa. However, the two seem to have done a lot of growing up since then. The source states that the artists realized how “silly and overblown” their hatred for each other was.
Katy Perry and Taylor Swift Are No Longer Beefing
“Just a few years ago, friends couldn’t even mention Katy’s name to Taylor, and vice versa, but they have both grown up a lot and realize their feud was silly and overblown.” according to the source. “Now they talk all the time and support each other. Never again will Katy step on Taylor’s toes, and Taylor will talk to Katy first if she has a grievance rather than let it stew.”
The old beef between these two musicians allegedly started back in 2014. Perry reportedly attempted to steal some of Swift’s backup dancers. However, when Taylor found out, instead of just talking it out, she wrote the song “Bad Blood.” She then confirmed that the song was, in fact, about Katy.
