Tori Spelling is reflecting on the end of her marriage to Dean McDermott. The BH90210 actress officially pulled the plug on her 28-year union in March 2024. However, long before filing for divorce, their relationship was in shambles, so it didn’t come as a shock to Spelling when her estranged husband unveiled a new woman.
Spelling dished on her ongoing divorce during the latest episode of her misSPELLING podcast, saying her breakup from McDermott was a long time coming. While chatting with guest Denise Richards, she recounted, “There is that one final blowout fight, but it actually didn’t come from me, it came from him.” Following the scuffle, Spelling “grieved and mourned” her marriage even though, at the time, they weren’t separated. When Richards asked how she felt seeing McDermott with another woman, Spelling confessed she wasn’t hurt.
“His girlfriend, when I first saw a picture of them together, it’s funny because my brain wanted to be like, ‘Oh, my gosh.’ You know, jealous. And I checked inside, and I was like, nope. I feel nothing.”
The mother-of-five admitted she found McDermott’s girlfriend, Lily Calo, “pretty” and welcomed her into the family with open arms. “She’s amazing, and I’m grateful. You never know who your ex is gonna be with, and they’re around your kids,” she gushed.

Spelling’s affectionate words about her ex’s girlfriend don’t come as a surprise. The TV personality has publicly doted on Calo on several occasions. Weeks before filing, the women were chummy during their son Beau’s birthday party at Dave and Busters in LA. Per Page Six, Spelling was seen planting a sweet kiss on Calo’s cheeks and playfully rubbing her lipstick off. The Stori Telling author then faced off on a motorcycle racing game with her husband’s girlfriend.
Two months after the cordial public meet-up, the Chopped Canada host went Instagram official with Calo. The lovers posted their first photos and Spelling camped in the comment section with the sweetest remarks. “Love you both [red heart emoji],” she wrote.
