Travis Kelce‘s ex-girlfriend, Kayla Nicole, is blaming Taylor Swift for being “pushed out” of the Chiefs’ social circle. As you may be aware, Kelce and Nicole were in a serious relationship from 2017 to 2022. Throughout their time together, they had ups and downs, and Travis even dealt with infidelity rumors being thrown his way. He did deny the claims, and after getting back together, they stayed strong until they ended things for good.
Because of their relationship, Kayla also became a regular at Arrowhead and met several of Kelce’s teammates and their wives. However, according to Marca, Swift is why Nicole is no longer close with them. The publication recently reported that Nicole feels Swift’s relationship with the Chiefs’ WAGS caused her to be “pushed out.”
Fans immediately responded to the fitness influencer’s claims, saying her friendship with the other women was “situational.” They continued: “Once you’re out of that environment, the contact drifts away. Even if Taylor wasn’t in the picture, none of them would’ve stayed in touch.” Other people seemed to agree, with several writing what Kayla was going through was “normal” for adults. “That’s part of dating someone who is in the public eye. All of that person’s friends and colleagues are going to hang out together now.”

Travis Kelce’s ex, Kayla, recently chatted with Radar Online and shared more about her distant relationship with the Chiefs’ WAGS. Although she didn’t state anyone’s name, she said things just aren’t the same.
“We are not as cool as we once were.”
If you’ve kept up with Travis and Taylor over the last year, Kayla’s statement shouldn’t be a surprise. In 2023, she made headlines after unfollowing Brittany Mahomes on Instagram. This move was shocking to many since Kayla was a bridesmaid in the former’s wedding.
During an interview with People, Kayla, who first met Travis on Instagram, said she unfollowed certain people to protect herself. “The reality is I know these people in real life. And so, in real life, I’ve communicated to these people why I’ve had to publicly make the decisions that I made.”
“To everyone it’s like, ‘Oh, you broke up a year ago,’ and that meant it’s like a light switch, you turn it on and off and everything goes dead and black and you don’t ever speak to anyone ever again. That’s not reality.”
Later in the interview, Kayla Nicole revealed that she will always have “love” for Brittany and that the mother of two knew why she unfollowed her. “That’s a lot of history and friendship there; that doesn’t change overnight,” she continued. “But publicly, because things are happening so quickly and so publicly, I have to protect myself. That’s really all that is. The love is still there.”

Kayla’s comments about being “pushed out” of the group because of Taylor Swift have gotten much attention. However, she’s used to being in the media since she recently discussed how she interacts with Travis in public.
During Angel Reese’s podcast, Nicole said she and Kelce can’t be seen speaking in public because Taylor’s fans would attack her online. According to her, when they see each other out and about, they hit each other with a “head nod,” acknowledging their presence. She continued, saying because of Trav’s relationship with Swift, “there’s just no room for us to communicate or acknowledge each other publicly. So we’d just keep it moving.”
Elsewhere during the podcast, Kayla said the “level of hate and online chaos” has impacted her mental health. “You could go to my most recent posts and people would be debating why I am worthless,” she said.
And she’s not wrong. Under the Daily Mail‘s comments about the broadcaster’s comments, someone shamed her for her looks and how she expresses herself. “Instead of focusing on her career as a sports ‘analyst’ she is devoting her time to beating a dead horse or being an Instagram Influencer exposing her half naked body for approval that she still has clout. Please, Kayla, move on and have some respect for yourself.”
