Deadpool & Wolverine is shaping up to be one of the most highly-anticipated movies of the year. The film will see Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman share the screen as their titular characters for the first time in over a decade. As if that wasn’t exciting enough, fans have a theory another major celebrity will be suiting up with them: Taylor Swift. Rumor has it she’ll make a cameo as a mutant known as the Dazzler. But will she actually appear in the film? Here’s the truth.
Shawn Levy Responds to Taylor Swift Cameo Rumors In “Deadpool & Wolverine”
During CinemaCon 2024, ET asked Deadpool & Wolverine director Shawn Levy about those Taylor Swift cameo rumors. Unfortunately, he didn’t confirm the singer’s involvement in the film. However, fans shouldn’t give up hope since Levy didn’t completely rule out an appearance from her either. Levy hinted he didn’t want to comment due to Ryan Reynolds’ connection with Swift, whom he and his wife, Blake Lively, have been friends with for years.
That is hardly confirmed nor denied in this interview. I’m going to literally walk about of the frame and save myself, otherwise Ryan’s taking a hit [out] on me.

The Taylor Swift cameo rumors began in 2022 after fans noticed Reynolds had filmed a Deadpool teaser in the same house that appeared in Swift’s All Too Well: The Short Film. The rumors only intensified when Reynolds, Jackman, and Levy attended a Kansas City Chiefs game with Lively and Swift at MetLife Stadium last October. Jackman shared photos of the group hanging out on his Instagram Story. Of course, the pictures sent fans into a frenzy since it confirmed Swift had connections with both Deadpool & Wolverine stars and their director.
As for whether those Taylor Swift cameo rumors are true, it seems we won’t get an answer until Deadpool & Wolverine hits theaters on July 26.
